Photos from Waukesha July 28th/29th – I love these judges!

Above is a photo of Dory picking up 2 points under Judge Bill Shelton in Waukesha. This is one of the best judges ever! He is very kind, and makes you feel like you have the right to be in the ring. As a newer exhibitor, especially the first few shows out, I ran into a couple judges that were pretty scary. More nice nice ones than not, so that’s a good thing. I find that having a cool judge makes for a great and educational day win or loose, so this is one of the judges I will be stalking to find out where else I can show under him. He gave feedback to people about their dogs, so I was impressed that he took the time to do that. What a good Judge.

Above is the photo of Dory finishing her Championship under Judge Ms. Annella Cooper. What an awesome day. The judge that was supposed to be there did not show up! The Super had to snatch Ms. Cooper from another ring. As she was heading into the ring I overheard her saying “Oh good, I’ve judged this breed before.” – WHEW! Thank you Judge Cooper for this win to finish to Dory! When we got the photo taken, the photographer was setting up and said, “Looks like somebody’s gettin’ steak tonight!” Ms. Cooper turned to me and said, “Yeah right – after all these entry fees and expenses who can afford that!” I laughed. She was hilarious. I would definitely like to show under her again, too.

You both look marvelous! I think a good judge brings out the best in handler and dog.
